Our approach for Pragati Printers Annual Calendar was focused on ‘Trees of India’ as an important source of raw material to make paper. Our designs were a contemporary take on the symbolism of some important Indian trees like Mango, Coconut, Bael, Bamboo, Banana and the Banyan. Our research and design strategy was to take the regional flavours through art, craft, food and mythology and weave them into appealing visual communication. Each page explored various types of printing papers, combining many print techniques and production possibilities into one print.
