The Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium in the NSCI complex is slowly becoming a popular venue for sports, concerts, festivals etc., the larger audience being the youth. Along with the greatness of Sardar Patel, the indoor stadium now demanded a more stronger identity which the youth is able to identify with. The pitched name and identity reflected the architectural structure of the stadium which is based on mandalas, hence the name ‘Orion’, which is a prominent constellation visible through out the world, and the squared type in the identity. The wayfinding was to be designed with consideration of huge masses with mixed demographics. With repetitive architectural features the area was proposed to be divides in 4 key zones and multiple media of signage was proposed to be deployed.
